the moles of NaCl 0.416 * 0.35 = 0.1456 moles
the grams of NaCl 58.5*0.1456 = 8.5176g

It sounds like you are very close. Multiply the volume converted to liters (0.350 L) times the molarity that is 0.416. Take that number and multipty it by the molar mass of NaCl and it should get you somewhere between 8.1 to 8.5 depending on the periodic chart you use.
