i live as a girl almost all the time and love it! my best friends are all girls and so sweet and very supportive. my best friend invited me to a party this weekend and so i bought a new outfit yesterday. does this sound cute. a red dress about mid-calf with an empire waist and very flowing skirt, black leggings just above my ankle and either black or red pumps with 3-inch heels. thanks so much :)

If your dress is red then I personally would look for some pumps with red in them cause if your dress is a solid color then you dont want your shoes to be as well. Then you may look like a crayon you need a little bit of contrast in there. The leggings are good as long as they are black but red blk red may look a little uuuuhhhhhmmmmmm!!! Boring.

Because the dress length is mid calf, I would definitely lose the leggings (I think that style has just about run its course anyways. I would wear black pumps just because you already have a long dress (dont want to over power the red). If you have leopard or even zebra print pumps, those would be even better. If you must wear leg coverings, wear fishnets. Have fun!!

I would skip the leggings. The dress is longer, flirty, and feminine. Adding leggings might ruin that look. Try black hose instead. Then I would go with black heels for a longer, slimmer, leg line. A tea length dress can shorten a woman's legs and make her look heavier in the calf. Keeping your heels the same color range as your hose will give you back that length and slimness that the hemline takes away.
Otherwise, the dress sounds great, and I hope you have fun at the party :-)

if there's black somewhere in the upper half of the dress, to match the black legging...go with the black pumps this will help pull every thing together... besides black pumps are sexy, red ones are kinda flashy... all depends on the look you are going for...if you feel hot, you'll be working it no matter what. HI, I am guy who wears dresses most of the time, and I like the red dress with the red shoes, but I prefer suntan, or nude pantihose with that style of dress, it will make you look more feminine than the leggings. Anyway I am glad to see more guys who wear dresses all the time. my female coworkers are glad that I wear dresses to work too, because they have to wear dresses, or skirts as part of the company dress code.

yes that sound s nice but i'm not to sure about the leggings, and another think you may want to think about is how tall you are because if you are short the mid calf dress is going to make you look shorter and thicker, good luck!!
