One must really lack basic compassion to call children, women and civilians, who have been under brutal occupation for 40 years thugs..
..in regards to the question, it's not that they don't Want peace, they don't want FAIR peace. the roadmap was a way of achieving peace, as was Camp David as were Oslo talks.. however, what they entailed for ISrael, is total economic, military , socal Domination. For Palestinians, not a state, rather series of buntustan-like regions where they are allowed to exist.
what is fair peace, well for starters, listen to international community. Many resolutions for fair peace has been proposed by the UN, 242 for example, which always receives the same vote: all the world for it- US and Israel against.
*EDIT*
even if you go with what the person above said, which for the most part, isn't really relevant, but lets go with it. and accept his argument..that Israel is righ towner of 'the promised land' as God said so..therefore his conclusion is, we can treat Palestinians as inhumenly as we like, kick them out of their homes and keep them in camps surrounded by a wall (sounds like ghettos to anyone?) just because they don't belong on this Holy land of ours.
well is this not the reason why Jews were persecuited and murdered all over Europe and in Holocaust in Germany..all because they did not belong there..
today we Rightly condemn what has been done to Jews, how can we then not condemn when they are doing exctly the same things to Palestine today ..under the pretext of 'defense' or more recently ' War on Terror'.

You basic problem is that you write evertyhing in a vacuum without once putting it into context.
- There is no such country as Palestine. There are Palestinians, a Palestinian authority, Palestinian territories but there is no Palestine per se.
- You say "bombed Palestine" without once focusing on the "why" which is specific operations against terrorists in civilian areas. Ah, you disagree with Israel doing that? Well, try arguing within that context instead of your context free blanket statements.
- You say take over land. But did that land actually belong to Palestinians? (i.e. was it privately owned land?) How much land?
- You say built highways that honeycomb through their territories. But you against forgot to explain why Israel would do such a silly thing such as build an alternate highway that is an indirect route. The reason is that if Jewish settlers took normal highways their lives would be at risk.
- You say their goal is to own 77% of Palestine. Since there is no Palestine, such a goal is meaningless. And one would be interested in what you mean by that number.
- You say that Palestinians have walls gates and checkpoints all without focusing on WHY they are needed. And by the way, there are no walls (or fences) within the Palestinian territories only between that area and Jewish areas. And you know the reason why this was neccessary. But you seem to choose top ignore it.

Because Palestine doesn't want peace. Until they're ready for peace, there's no negotiation.
Until Palestine has a legitimate government that has a monopoly on the use of force, there's nobody to negotiate with. If the Palestinian PM cannot stop the Hamas and Fatah militias from attacking Israel, what's the point of negotiation? It would be meaningless.
This was why Clinton's peace negotiations were doomed to failure - no accountability or authority on the part of the scumbag Arafat. If he had no control, and even what he did control, he subverted the peace, then what was the point?
As for the rest of the unsupported allegations - Israel has actually ceded back much of the territory it settled before Bush, forcibly withdrawing its citizens. So all this bullcrap about them taking over Palestine is just a lie.
As for subjugating Palestinians, that's hogwash, too. They want nothing to do with those bums - not worth the effort. That's why they put up a wall.

palestine is not a country, only a loose confederation of terrorist thugs. why should their terrorism be rewarded with being treated as an equal with a country that actually respects life, if israel honestly was a bloodthirsty aparthied nation, then there wouldnt BE any palestinians. they would all be dead. The palestinians have the will to kill all the jews, they only lack the power to do so. Israelis have the power to kill all the palestinians, they merely lack the will to do so. one day this paradigm will shift.
carter was a joke of a president
Kind of makes you wonder why so many democrats choose the side of the terrorists to lend, at the very least, their moral support.
its no secret the terrorists wanted dems to win the elections, I see why.

Palestine has no country and never did. President Bush is the only American President to suggest such. But it won't work unless both sides want peace. Obviously the Palestinians don't.
Have you been watching those fake films made by Pallywood?

If any American president truely wanted a peace agreement in Israel/palestine they would cut off the military aid to Israel(paid by the US. Tax payer), Israel would make peace immediatley.
But the leaders of the USA prefer an excuse to arm it's military base(Israel) in the middle east.
The map of Israel/palestine say's it all :-

Two reasons:
1. Bush believes Israel is in the right.
2. Palestinians don't speak any language but violence.

It's impossible. The Palestinians don't want peace; they want the destruction of Israel. Period. And Israel isn't going to let that happen.

The stated goal of the Palestinians is to wipe Israel of the face of the earth. Bush nor anyone else will be able to change that.

Yes there are 16 Arab nations that support the peace talks but many in the middle east are upset from both sides.
