The Detroit Tigers...even though they lost the world series, the St.Louis Cardinals only won because of pure luck!

The team who won the World Series. In this case, it was the St Louis Cardinals, though many baseball pundits would regard the Detroit Tigers, (who the Cardinals defeated in the final) Oakland A's or possibly the Minnesota Twins as the best team in baseball. This is because the Cardinals only won 83 games in their division, whilst the other teams mentioned won tougher divisions or finished with better records.
As far as internationally, Japan won the 2006 World Baseball Classic, the rough equivalent of the World Cup, beating Cuba in the final, so they have every right to be called the World's best team.

I hate to say it, but the Yankees are. Winning 26 World Series, makes them clearly the best in the team in Baseball.

If your basing your study on the most successful sports franchise in sports history you would have to go with the New York Yankees. They have won 39 American League Pennants and 26 World Championships in their 100 plus years of competition in the major leagues. Far more than any other franchise.
Over the years the Yankees have produced many of the greatest players in history and continue to be a major force in baseball even today. Every other team in baseball strives to be as good as the Yankees and always use them as a measuring stick to their own success. There is a great deal more to your question and if you research the Yankees you will find many incredible stories about this winning team.

It really depends. If you are talking about this year, than the World Champions were the St. Louis Cardinals. But people could argue for the Detroit Tigers, who lost to the Cardinals in the World Series (Championship round of the playoffs). But in the history of baseball, the New York Yankees have 26 World Series Championships. Personally, my favorite team is the BOSTON RED SOX!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Consistently it would be the Cuban National Team. They can be Monsters.The Yankees would be the best in this country over the past 100 years.

If your talking about last year its the ST.Louis Cardinals,but if your talking about the best ever I have to give it to the boys in Pinstripes up there in New York City aka. YANKEES.Its hard to argue a point when those guys have 26 World Championships,YES thats WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS.

which ever team won the Little League World Series, as they are truely a worlds class league as they play a series from nations across the globe.
Plus nobody plays better base ball than a young lad who plays for the fun of the game.
