Was it due to contraceptive failure? Rape? The 2 of you just saying "what the heck?" Miscalculation of your "safe" days? I am not interested in the ethics of abortion or your churchs edict or a lecture.
Just the situation leading up to the proceedure.

I had one 7 years ago, due to pure stupidity. I wasn't even using contraception or protection. I was a naive teenager. I am obviously totally for abortion and the right to choose, and I dont regret what I did, but let me tell you, you'll never forget about what you did and you'll probably think about it every day. I know I still do...

I was very young and the boy I was seeing (5 yrs older) told me he was sterile and I was very gullible and believed him. I was 15 and had gone to planned parenthood for the pregnancy test which turned out positive. I didn't know how to tell my mom. For some reason I was staring into the frig, door open, and my mom just knew. She walked up to me and asked me if I was pregnant and I broke down and told her "yes". The bad part is that I would have a son these days and I truly wish I wouldn't have aborted. The best thing is to be careful and use birth control otherwise you will regret the decision of choosing abortion rather than control.

I totally agree with the first person's answer. You will never forget or forgive yourself - EVER

My daughter had one or what we believe they said it was a D&C, It was a terrible experience, she was 16, raped at a party..She was starting to miscarry..the doctor said..so we had it "done"..Still to this day i wonder what she really had done..When asked about the fetus, they said "no heartbeat" I guess its one of them things you'll always wonder about..
