You will not be able to tell the difference among regional accents until you acquire some fluency. However, you might be able to tell the difference between a Mexican Spanish accent, an Argentine Spanish accent and a Spanish accent from Spain. I studied in Granada for a semester when I was in college. I attended the Centro de Lenguas Modernas, part of the Universidad de Granada.

Granada is a difficult accent to pick up. In Andalucia, people drop the last letter of words, if they are consonants. Sometimes they drop consonants in the middle of words too. They are called Granadinos...but they say it Granainos. Lo Do for los dos. Pue for puez. Ta luego for hasta luego. They have the best spoken grammar in Spain, but the worst pronunciation. Oh, and Spaniards lisp z's and c's before i and e. For example, lapiz is pronounced lahpeeth. Hope this helps you. Feel free to email if I can help more.
