I took my first practice test and got an 800 verbal and a 280!!! math. I've scheduled the test for a month from now. My schedule is pretty clear between now and then. Do you think it is possible to get that 280 to at least a 500 if I spend this month learning forgotten math?

Thank you for the encouragement. And no, I'm not going into a quantitative field. After that score I'm beginning to doubt why my bank even lets me have checkbook!

I spent a lot of time studying for the math. I kept getting about 500 on the practice tests, but when I actually took the test I got a 670! So I would say, study hard and I think you'll be ok.

Look at the bright side -- it probably won't get any worse.

I suspect you didn't really think a whole lot about your math answers when you took the test. Yes -- I think you can probably improve.

I do hope, however, that you are not going into a quantitative field. Nive job on the verbal.
