once you have the basics of life taken care of,,, dont have to worry about everyday living, making the money etc, your mind is more free to explore other things, and superstition might be one of them,,,,, you might have time and the desire to reflect on how you became what /where you are,, what happened to put you in the position as opposed to anyone else,,,, so then that thought might progress to luck, chance, fate etc,,,, which superstition is a part of that category, also, all groups of people have superstiions, whether recognized or not

In both rich and middle-class, all kind of people are there.In both class the superstitious are there. Since the visibility is more at rich than middle., so it seems the superstition is high at rich.

Because their life is taken care of. So their mind is now occupied with fears of their comforts being taken away.
For the less fortunate, life is more of a struggle which keeps the mind occupied with other sorts of worries. Superstitions dont occur to them.

Because wealth and power makes them apprehensive of others especially those who get them by luck or some unfair means.They would not believe others.Fear creates superstitions.
