I don't even know how anyone could say that things are going well, freedom is on the march, stay the course, ect. When are they going to admit that the war is lost(including the average republican joe out there).

Again, their biggest problem is admitting that they were wrong and pulling out gracefully. So long as they dont have to send their kids to Iraq to be killed, they will continue to waste American lives to save political face. History will condemn the Republicans for this.

I fear you may be right; the "war" may no longer be winnable. So al-qaeda, al-aclu, al-nuyorktymes, and al-liberals can all get together and high five each other as they drive another nail into the coffin of western civilization. Even America's military, the mightiest in the entire world, can't win when half of the American public is determined to cut and run in shame from this rag tag bunch of jihadist butchers and psychopaths. Europe will be Islamized by 2050 (sooner if the nutcakes get nukes) and America will soon follow. We are now the land of the craven and the home of the flee-ers.

They won't admit it because they still want to get paid off the blood of those fighting it. What President would ever let his party adimit to such a thing? After all, Republican, Democrat, what is really the difference, the war is lost, I have lost friends there and I don't care what Party started the war it just needs to end and my brothers and sisters in arms need to come home and now!
I am tired of the caskets draped in flags....

Mad Roy seems to believe that Al Quada and Iraq are one and the same. I was and have always been supportive of the warr in Afghanistan. Last I saw or heard Bin Laden was still there. I think we need to get the hell out of Iraq and go get us Bin Laden.

Never, they will recycle the same excuses they used to explain-away the Vietnam loss. They will never admit that Iraq was another stupid idea doomed to failure from the start. Saddam is toppled. There are democratic elections, water and power are more readily available, and lots of terrorists are no more. And people are no longer ritualistically raped and murdered by Saddams sons. Sounds better.
