For Kindergarten we bought her teacher a personalized tote bag and inside had a (#1 Teacher) Maggie Moo cow that she collects tucked inside. My daughter picked it all out on her own. This year, she wants to do something different for her 1st grade teacher. She absolutely LOVES her and wants to give her something that is very special. Her teacher is very young, but I do know that she loves OSU football. We thought of giving her something along those lines...but we do want to give her something she can really appreciate. This is her 2nd yr of teaching, and already has TONS of stationery, etc. If anyone has any ideas....please help! Thanks for reading...:)

I don't know if you are crafty or looking for something along those lines...but in case...

You can cut a circle out of plywood put crayons around it and make a wreath. You can even put something on it to hang down like #1 teacher or Ms. whoever..is the best...ect...She can hang this in her classroom for many years to come and will always remember your daughter.

I have seen these and they are so cute.

a handmade sign for her desk made by your child that says something funny like uhh.. " I teach - you learn! You learn - I earn" or something like that. Or just Let your child decide on a gift..that way it comes from their heart. My oldest son gave his first grade teacher a Christmas coloring book and a box of crayons. When she asked him why he picked it out above all other gifts he said "it would help her get rid of stress like it does for him"! That was 22 years ago and she still to this day keeps a coloring book and crayons on her desk! Let your child pick a gift..don't be a parent who tries to give the best or most expensive gift - let your child give what they want you might be surprised what they come up with and that makes it more special and unique just like your child! Happy Holidays!
