Americans, when your "Terror Alert" is high do you take extra precautions?

For example do you call in sick, wear gas masks, hide in your bomb shelters or have you become jaded and just take your chances?

No way. It's all a facade. They don't actually have a clue of what's going on most of the time, so why listen?

We hide under our school desks, like we did in atomic bomb drills in the 1950s. OK. Just kidding.
I am sure you need to spend a lot of extra time to get through security lines at airports and possibly other places. Your question is silly. This isn't some place like Israel, where people run around with gas masks.

Nah, I'll die from something anyway, so why worry? I think too much is being made of "alerts". What is the average working class joe going to do, miss work and pay while sitting in his basement? I don't think so...The only ones hiding are the ones who can afford to, and who think they have something to lose.

no. and, no i haven't become jaded since all of this started. i'm one of those people that just refuses to live in fear of death. maybe i was jaded before... (i really hate the word jaded) anyway...that's the one thing you can count on in life. none of us are going to get out of it alive. i don't believe i'm "taking my chances" with terrorists. that would suggest that i live normally DESPITE my fear of dying in a terrorist attack. please. f*ck terrorists, their cowards. i also live near dearborn, michigan, one of the largest arabic populations in the country. (we are talking about muslim terrorists, right?) do you think that makes me feel safer or more at risk? nope. i'm just not terrorized.

I have a license to carry a concealed weapon,and it is in the ready position regardless of the "TERROR ALERT " level offered by my government...I protect myself....NO FEAR= NO TERROR....
