I agree. Some blues look really good with brown, especially light (but misty) blues with an autumn brown. Light blue with black looks awesome, and some browns with black go good, but not if those are the only two colors. Watch out for patterned clothes, though, because the pattern has to match too.
Of course, some people are more critical about fashion than others. I wore a really hot outfit once with blues and reds and greens that all matched great (bought it in NYC as an outfit); wore it at work (I live in Midwest) and this one lady popped her eyes out thinking it was terrible. But then again, where I live is totally behind the times in fashion.
So wear what feels good to you, I guess.

I don't like blue and brown too much... a man who wears dark brown pants and a navy blue polo or button up could pull it off (I would say tshirt, but it's just so... tshirty... ick...) Black and blue can definately go together and look really nice- which is funny becuase it used to be known as such a fashion "no-no" (black and navy blue) but I've seen it on the runway and it looks fab. Black and brown can look ok.. depends though... Gray doesn't look good with brown, gray looks good with many colors- pink, blue, black, yellow, white, red...

Blue is a universal color. Which means that it is a color that can be used in any way, for any feel or meaning.
Black, brown, and gray are all neutrals. Which means that they can be used as a warm or a cool.
Universal colors and neutrals can be worn with just about any other color, as long as the shades and undertones are right.
Light grays with pastels (pink, lavender, baby blue, etc...) has a delicate, feminine feel. Light gray with the same colors, only in darker shades (scarlet, plum, navy, etc...) gives a strong, masculine feel. Dark gray with warm colors (yellow, orange, red) can give a powerful look. Dark gray with cool colors (green, blue, purple) can be calming and sophisticated. Gray with other neutrals (tan, brown, black, white, tan) can give a unified look.
If you want to wear blue and gray together, try to make sure one is lighter while the other is darker. For example, charcoal gray with sky, robin's egg, or cornflower blue. Dove gray with navy, indigo, or midnight blue. For just about any shade of gray, you'll get a very sophisticated, professional, look if you use a gray-blue to go with it. Slate and steel blue are good choices that will blend and complement the gray of your pants or suit.

You can wear whatever you want. Unless you're going to be around people that are judgemental of the colors you chose for your outfit...they're just...I don't know...but I can't stand people like that.
The right shade of blue can go with the right shade of brown. Black matches anything (and yes it does look really good with dark blue, epspecially if it's a vibrant dark blue) as does gray. Go with your instincts, not what some kids might tell you on this website. (I'm not a teenager but I know a lot of kids get lazy and decide to go on their phones durring class and come on here.)

Blue and Brown- awesome, if the blue is teal or turqouise-ish.
Black and blue- never never never unless it's in the print of a dress or skirt already made that way.
Black and brown- never never as well.
Gray with what? You didn't finish the sentence. Please email me and tell me specifically what you need and I'll be glad to help you anonymously. :)
