14 days after your period is when your suppost to ovulate....if you had sex around that time then you wait 2 weeks. Test when you expect your period to come. You can get a positive a few days before you even miss your period but its good to wait until its missed so you dont waste money on tests.

Take a home test the day after your 1st missed period.

I always test the first day of my expected period. If you test before then, there is a good chance there will not be enough hormones in your body for the test to pick them up. Of course, some tests advertise they will work up to five days before your period, but why keep having to test over and over again?
