They will treat it with antibiotics.

Start treating yourself first. Drink lots of water, your urine should be odorless and nearly clear (though may turn bright yellow after taking your vitamins).

Mix cranberry juice and water (about 1/2 and 1/2) drink a couple of those a day until your infection is gone.

I used to fight U.T.s all the time and I battled urinary tract infections with my first pregnancy. With the second I just drank enough water and had no problem with infections.

Congrats on your upcoming baby.

I had a urinary infection early on in this pregnancy. My doctor prescribed an antibiotic. It was a strange antibiotic that had side effects such as naseau (I honestly don't know if it caused this because I was so sick) and it changed my urine green (it said it might do this.) But other than that it was fine and it got rid of the urinary infection. Hope that helps :)

The antibiotics and water are the best bet! You can also do the cranberry juice but some people don't really like the way it tastes. If you don't like it, there is a cranberry capsule at all pharmacies that you can take daily for prevention. There is something is cranberries that keep the bacteria from attaching itself to your urinary tract.

I've had 3 UTIs this pregnancy. I took Macrobid for all of them. It's an antibiotic that safe during pregnancy. The risk of a UTI turning into a kidney infection is much greater in pregnancy so it's important that you have it treated right away. (it's one of the reasons you pee in a cup so much at the OB)

Get an appointment with you Ob/gyn, and they will have you pee in a cup and then test it. and they will give you some antibioticscalled Macrobid specifically designed for UTI's. in the mean time get come cran-apple juice and drink as much as you can also water. it helps flush out your kidneys( you may have to pee a lot more than usual). When i was preg. with both of my kids i always got UTI(they suck). also try not to drink as much soda pop that usually causes them. Good Luck.

With antibiotics which are ok in pregnancy (class A or B) Also cranberry juice can help, but antibiotics should be taken anyway, unless you want complications.

My daughter is pregnant and they gave her Macrobid which is an antibiotic and also Uristed which helps alleviate painful urination. But I would consult your physician because you may have allergies that I'm not aware of and I wouldn't want something to happen to you because of what I said. But I would definately call your doc and ask them to call you in something for it. Their very common during pregnancy and I'm suprised this is your first one.
