Simply put, children have evolved to understand things at a very early age. They've become smarter. The way adults have adapted to new changes in todays society has crossed over to children so when they grow up they will go through the same circle again, adapting and changing.

Funny question. It sounds like you don't really believe in evolution, or you don't really understand evolution.
A child's whole being is THE effect of evolution. The way they look when they are really young, helpless and cute, is because they need the protection of the parents. Later they start asking questions like robots, trying to gather as much information regarding the world in order to be better fit to survive, thrive in it.
This is just two of them, but you can tell me just any feature of a child, and I can tell you how evolution affected it, or why it is like that from an evolutionary perspective.
Someone mentioned devolving: That is funny. Any change that humanity is going through is called "evolution." It doesn't have to be good change or bad change, just change. I'm wondering what standard of good/bad is he/she using to name it devolution. Also, a change happens because it is practical and some might argue that practical is the absolute good. He/she should do his/her research.

Well, because humans evolved to walk upright, the birth canal is smaller in women. In other species, the baby can develop more before birth. As a result, our infants are more helpless, for a longer period of time, than any other species on earth. They have to develop things after birth, like the ability to walk, that most animals are able to do immediately after being born. This makes children more dependent on their caretakers, and because of that dependence it's necessary to seek the approval of your parents. Children can't afford to be left to fend for themselves. That's one of the effects of evolution. There is an entire field of Evolutionary Psychology that studies the effects of evolution on human behavior.
