well for me i have more then 1000 songs so i have an ipod video and i also have couple videos but for you well it depends how much songs ur planing to have if you have many songs then i think its best to take ipod video but ipod video is not so small but if you dont have much songs and you want a small ipod then id say ipod nano and to download songs i think its best to download them from lime wire .....but sometimes that could have virues because you never no whats inside the download but i think its better to BUY songs of itunes online they are VERY cheap and i think its unfair to artists that you like to just go steal there music for free when they worked very hard for it for ppl to buy it so i think you should buy them for free.....sometimes they have songs on myspace or purevolume or on band websites that you can download and then all the songs you download you need to put them on itunes then after putting them on i tunes your going to have to plug your ipod its going to apear on itunes then ur simple just going to drag the songs to the ipod sign and if you have lots of songs and you want all of them then just right click on the ipod sign and then the place where it says options click it and do update automaticly.

good luck!

Ipod is just a portable cd player except better. I myself just got The Ipod Nano which is much smaller then the Original Ipod. It Comes With a USB Line which you plug right into your computer and thats how you download songs off your computer, and thats how it also charges your ipod up. I can only speak for the Ipod nano im not sure if the Ipod the Original is different..... Well I Hope Some Of this Helps You...

I have the Ipod Nano, and I love it!
It really is a matter of your preference as far as what kind of Ipod you would like. They have ones that hold a few hundred songs to those that holds thousands of songs. You download your music using itunes. You use the music you already have stored on your computer or you can rip music from your Cd's. I hope this helps!

I have the ipod video 30GB black! Don't get the nano unless you like squinting to look at the screen. Make sure your computer has itunes and itunes will upload the music to the ipod for you as long as you have the USB cord plugged up.
