So you're annoyed. Grow up, move on.
If you are annoyed, then ITS your problem. You have issues, Not them.
You want to be annoyed? Why not foucus your energies on real problematic people, like those that are intolerant of anyone who is different.

OK to be really honest with you, since you ask, I get a bit unconfortable around really feminine men. The term camp poofs is rather inappropriate.
But whats the point in going around saying that they are annoying?
OK sometimes they take the piss, sometimes they keep hitting on you while you say no all the time....but at least they wont hurt you or attack you in any way....what about the straight a-holes who get bloody drunk, they shout like monkeys in the middle of the night and get into fights waking up whole neighbourhoods ....thats what I call annoying....but I dont call them chav-breeders....I call them people...do the same and if you want to be annoyed, pls be annoyed by people who sell drugs and organised crime which are rotting society...a couple of queenies never hurt anyone..
Peace

I'm not sure what "camp poofs" are but I assume that this is a term that you use to describe feminine men...??
Let me start by saying that there are many stereotypes that gay men have to fight against. Being gay, I see this all the time.
I do not consider myself to be very feminine nor am I macho man. I am just myself and don't try to impress anyone by pretending to be something that I am not.
Some gay man are naturally more feminine than others. (Just like some straight men are naturally more "manly" than others.
I have no problem with feminine men as long as that is the way they really are.
As a gay man, I have found that some of the "feminine gay men" as you call them, try to put on a very feminine act to draw attention to themselves. I don't agree with this as I think it helps solidify stereotypes that other gays have to fight against daily.
Having said that- I have several gay friends who are more feminine than masculine but that is the way the really are. They do not put on acts or try to be something that they are not. I love and accept them just as they are, just as I hope they do me.

If they are really camp and dance about like a fairy then I don't agree with it. They give other gay people like me a bad image. For example, every year on Big Brother there is a 'token' gay... always camp as a row of pink fluffy tents! Why can't straight acting gay people get in that house? And it's not just Big Brother, it's most reality TV programs... Scott Henshaw, enough said! Rant over

I agree with you to an extent.
If a guy is gay, ok, if he is feminine, ok, but it's when they 'switch on' the camp mode that really bugs me.
I've seen gay lads do it, especially when other gay guys appear.
For the ones who are like that anyway i have no problem but the act some put on is incredibly annoying.

I will be honest with you, I am gay and camp guys really annoy me. I find them over the top and sometimes living in a world where they think they are super models. The bitchness of their voice and especially if they discribe me or other guys as: "Her/ or She. This I find, extremely annoying.
But this is not what all gay men. There are lots of very straight acting guys who enjoy just being regular blokes, work in manual jobs and enjoy a beer / guiness down the pub. I grew up to like men as men but also grew up to understand that even if I do not like someone's way of life I just live and let live. As long as they do not interfer in the way I want to live my life. Some scientist refer this to hormones taken during pregancy. That is why some lesbians are very masculine and some gays are very camp. If this is what they want and this is what they get attracted to, let it be.

I think campy and effeminate are two separate qualities. I'm not bothered by effeminate gay men. And, I love being around campy gay men in limited amounts, but it does get to be a bit too much after a while.

I find "walking stereotypes" kinda annoying in general.
But as long as they're not like a total cliche, I love feminine men.

Most of the time I find them annoying but occasionally I find one that I would like to have sex with. Strange really.

No they don't annoy me...
Who cares how people act, as long as they are happy with themselves thats all that should matter. Why should people act different to impress people? If they are happy then good for them!

yeah they're just living to be a steryotype. I'd say that the other gay men are pretty pissed at them too for giving them a reputation.
