Well the best character would depend on what field you talking about. The coolest is Kakashi his quiet ,can copy almost any attack, and his always reading a book which gives him a mysterious look , and his the best tactician. The funniest and the one who symbolizes that hard work and determination pays of is Naruto. He never gives up and some how always makes it through, which is a quality that we all want; he is also very goofy , dumb, which reflex how most of use are when making chooses,or in certain points in our life. As for the best fighter it would be Rock Lee, he doesn't have any flash, or abnormal ability; but his fight style is the most realistic, and because of him(Rock Lee's fight with Garra) Naruto is considered one of the best animes with impressive fights.
Aside from them there are
Orochimaru because his so evil its cool
The 5th Hokage because shes the biggest loser, and she still got that far
and Garra because his a good guy right on the border line of being bad

Kimimaro in my opinion. He is a very calm guy and also the strongest besides Orochimaru. Sure we never get to see him fight Sasuke but everyone knows Gaara and Lee were going to die. Seriously if Sasuke hadn't been so power hungry do you think the sound 4 woulda died (either way Kimimaro was dead -_-) *just realized something* ok ok I splitting this up, In part 1 Kimimaro owns in part 2 I vote Deidara. Not only is he funny but he kills Gaara (much to my bro's happyness) and he can make things explode...yeah! Also, he's smart. He knew when to leave the battle so he could survive and rememberd to come back for his ring before Tobi took it (though Tobi took Sasori's). Oh and another thing, Kimimaro was so adorable as a kid =3

Naruto, of course..he's the main character..and he has his own way of thinking. He's so funny that's why I'm so fond of watching naruto..I like Neji too. He's cool, smart and strong. He's also very cute..ü Sasuke is also cool and cute but he's so snobbish..:p

I think the best naruto character is Rock Lee.
He may be lacking in his ninjutsu skills, but he fully utilizes his taijutsu skills to overcome this barrier.
He's so determined and he trains himself very hard, just to prove that he can become a good ninja like Neiji too.
I admire his strong-willed character.

They're all good.
Naruto - He's grown up alone, yet overcame the loneliness and turned into a great ninja.
Sakura - She started off as a weak love driven peuny girl, and (in accordance to the manga) She's turned into a good medic ninja, not to mention is in no way weak anymore.
Saskue - Although he deserted konoha and everyone, his cause is good, okay, so he might be selfish in doing so, but he's trying to kill his brother, going about it the wrong way, he's trying to avenge his family.
Hinata - She started off as the little feeble creep, but through-out the fillers, she's gotten stronger, not to mention during the chuunin exam she trys so hard to defeat her cousin.
-Thoose are but a few, but every character is good in they're own little ways ^.^-

The best is Tobi. Although you can't see his face but he's pretty much like Naruto in a adult way kindish and funny. He's one of the bad guys but nice that makes him a good. yup yup thats why he is the best!! =D

sasuke...i really love him...he's very brave and strong too...and he's also cute and adorable...that's why i thinks he's the best naruto character for me...that's only for my own opinion i don't care about yours....get it...?

Umm I'm not a big fan of naruto I like more classica anime like Pokemon my favorite characters are TEAM ROCKET FTW YEAHHHHHH RoxX0rs MY SoxX0rs YEAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH.
I cannot wait until they get pikachu that day I will run around naked with my meowth plush toy.

of course the protagonist ninja, uzumaki naruto! *konoha's no. 1 surprising ninja* in the latest story of the manga, naruto is almost finish in formulating a new jutsu..! he's damn good!

Gaara. Yes hes creppy and scary, but hes hot and has been through alot and is in pain, kind of like me. I like characters I can relate too....eccept for the hole people trying to kill you thing.
