Bolivia is landlocked, with the high Andes (21,000 feet) in the west, and agricultural tableland in the east. It's climate is affected by altitude. Its area is 424,000 square miles, and its population is 21 million people, about 8 people per square mile. It is rich in mineral resources, but is a poor country, in part due to political corruption. GDP is $26 billion, $2,800 per capita. The language is Spanish.
