As for me, I think the common Notice to Vacate a premises is one month. That gives the rentor time to re-rent the room or apartment. But if you don't pay rent then you need not give ANY notice.

if u don't work there and are eighteen or above, i don't think a notice is the thing which will be necessary, or enough. i know that's paradoxical, but while on the one hand moving out doesn't require notice, on the other hand it's just not enough to do when u're leaving somebody who is close to you. think about it.

If you get along with her i would talk to her and both decide maybe she will tell you anytime. if you don't like her I would give her maybe 2 -3 weeks notice. but you have to look at it this way too. if the position was switch how much notice would you like.
