I saw the Exorcist with the girl part - don't remember it was 1 or 2 - but the girl surely escaped the Devil in her as it was consumed by the pastor, or the "exorcist" upon which he commits suicide.

The demons thought to be gone...........comes back in all three sequels to the original EXORCIST
So they pretty much haunt her off and on for the rest of her life.
