Wonderwall was a solo album by George Harrison.

In the song itself, a wonderwall is a metaphor for someone you can lean on for support.

Funnily enough I realised the answer to this after 19 yrs, lying in the bath today& listening to it on the radio
Yr Wonderwall is the person you see as you *** when masturbating. That is the person you love "and maybe you're gonna be the one that saves me, and after all, you're my Wonderwall"

the wonderwall that oasis sing of is a referance to their childhood when their mum used to stick paper to the wall for them to write and draw on eventually early versions of songs were written using this method essentially storyboarding your thoughts..
hope this has answered your question

This is a good question! Maybe the wall bit symbolises somebody that you can lean on in times of need. Then the wonder part would be a person that also amazes you, perhaps by beauty or otherwise.

it was based on a wall they had in their bedroom with lots of pictures of various things stuck on it that had meaning to them - his led to it being called their "wonderwall"
