I used to have a couple of Buff Crested Polish bantam roosters I called Rosencranz and Guildenstern.... that was accused of being stupid. A Silky bantam I named Gallo del Cielo. Had a basset-mix I picked up sore-footed hitch hiking in the middle of nowhere figuring to give him a ride to civilization. Stayed with me about 11 years, though we never had a contract. I called him Sherlock, which many believed was a stupid name for him. Just about everything I name animals I do by my own tastes and judgements. I don't care whether they irritate people, most of whom I believe wouldn't know stupidity if they saw it in a mirror, which they do every time they shave or put on eye-makeup.

I briefly had a rent a cat I called Mr. Bean. I have no idea why. He was here about a week and found someplace better to hang out. I now have another rent a cat that I just call "cat". I don't want to get emotionally involved.

No, but we have a habit of naming kittens after objects, usually the first thing we see. We have (well, had) one kitten we named Pursestrap.

MR SNOOKUMS is highly offended that you would ask such an annoying question.

In case you missed sarcasm 101 in school, no, my pets have normal names :-)
