In India, China and many other places they respond to the baby's natural signals to go to the toilet. This gets the babies out of diapers very early (if they wear them at all).
Other than the obvious financial benefit of cutting down your diaper usage, this may be another way of not needing diapers bigger than size 6 anyway.
Some common toiletting signals are squirming, lifting their bottom when they're laying down, pulling on and off the breast during feeds, vacant stares and pause in activity, grunting, vocalising. Also you can offer "timing" potty opportunities such as upon waking and after a feed.
It might sound strange, but it's used in over 75 countries around the world (it's called Elimination Communiction in the western world), and you can do it part time (ie just after work or just on the weekends). My 8.5mo baby only wears diapers during sleeps, but is waking dry more and more often. Baby still has a couple of accidents each day, but i handle less bodily fluid than other mum's with bubs that age. I also haven't been peed on for months. It's just the floor that catches the misses when they happen.

Your son will stop growing so fast pretty soon. He will continue to grow, but it will be going taller. You may also try a different brand of diapers. I find that Pampers baby dry are a smaller fit than the Pampers premium or Huggies supreme. The huggies are huge.
No, though, the largest size is 6, and I can squeeze a pretty big 4 year old into one of those at night to avoid an accident in the bed.

After the first year a baby's growth slows quite a bit. A size 4 isn't so bad at 4 months as long as he is healthy. Sometimes babies grow big fast and then even out. If he is only breastfeeding there is not much you can do. (breastmilk contains less fat than formula) Don't ever give juice. (breastfed babies don't need it anyway)
Talk to your doctor and I am sure he will reassure you that everything is fine. Don't worry about diaper sizes just yet, you haven't run out.

u need to get that kid checked out by a dr, no 4 month old should be in a size 4 diaper. maybe he has thyroid problems or something cause breast milk should not make him over weight like that. i can see feeding a kid too much formula and they be overweight but not that big just on breast milk

I havent seen anything bigger than a 6 in NYC and nothing bigger here in FL. Maybe you could try either Pull-ups or Goodnights, they go by weight and have sides that tear-away

Wow. Start him on attends...Actually, you and the baby's doctor should be concerned about weight and development...and I thought my grandson was big for his age...Maybe you should consider regular formula or something...The bigger the diaper, the less material (pull ups are expensive and leak)
