1.) The Pill does NOT prevent the woman from infections (STD's)
2.) The pill is NOT a 100% guarantee against pregnancy. (antibiotics and other meds can affect the effectiveness of the Pill.)
(Also the Pill can fail without any mistake in use by the woman.)
3.) People can and do forget to take a pill once in a while and are afraid (rightfully or not) that the protection is compromised.
4.) There is no guarantee that because someone Says they are on the Pill, that they are not lying or just telling the man what they want to hear. (Men & women lie equally.)

Because she is smart! The "pill" does not protect against STD. The pill only protects against pregnancy.

Some women do not like the additional intimacy of riding "bare back" and the pill does nothing to reduce STD/STI transmission.

3 possible reasons. she's terrified of getting pregnant even on the pill (which is possible my sister got pregnant twice on the pill) she's afraid you may not be faithful (better safe than sorry) or she's not faithful (again better to be safe than sorry) maybe you should just ask her why and talk about these things. if you can have sex with her you should be able to talk to her about anything dealing with that.

Ummm...Probably the things called STDs. They can be a lot worse than a pregnancy, and can last a lifetime.

she wants to feel secure. if you have problems with your stomach then it could be that the pill doesn´t work properly and she could get pregnant. also it protects so that you don´t catch deseases. all in all it´s better.
