It is probably a wheel bearing, so GET IT FIXED NOW!

It isn't going to be a bad CV joint, because there is no drive to your rear wheels as the Clio is a front wheel drive car.

Seriously, don't muck about with this, as it could be dangerous.

Could be wheel bearing on its way out.. Take it to a garage and get it checked out.

Wont be a CV joint as they are only on driven wheels which are the front wheels on a clio

Check the wheel nuts.
It could be a bearing but that usually gives a droning noise ,if you hava drone when going straight and a knocking when cornering it is probably a wheel bearing.

Don't think it is a cv joint, aren't they on the front only?

Always go for the simple things first. Is it something in the boot?
Failing that it could be your suspension. Best to get it checked out
