I heard this song ages ago and all I can remember is the lyrics and title, not the artist! I googled the lyrics and all I found was some dude with a poetry page passing it off as his own work!! Cheek..

Evanescence- "...my god my tourniquet...lead me to salvation..." Good song! Although, those lyrics don't sound like Evanescence's... Check-out Amy's hand written journal (lyrics) at evanescence.com and see if that's the song you're looking for... "Tourniqut" is off of 'Fallen' and the live version is on 'Anywhere But Home.'
