Nina Simone is my standard Sunday morning stuff...

However I love Snow Patrol for this too and my latest discovery that is continuously blowing me away at the moment is an english band called MUSE...they are just amazing, if you haven't heard them, I would love for you to hear a particular song "Knights of Sidonia" it is just awesome in a kind of old Queen Bohemian Rapsody kind of way...

Classical an Adagio every time it is a calm slow even tempo either or all piano violin orchestral as long as it is an Adagio

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Adagio
The most common tempo markings in Italian are:

Grave - very slowly and almost solemn
Largo - slowly and broadly
Lento - "slow" but usually only moderately so
Adagio - slowly
Andante - at a walking pace
Moderato - at a moderate tempo, neither fast nor slow
Allegretto - "a little allegro", understood to be not quite as fast as allegro
Allegro - quickly
Vivace - very fast, lively and brisk
Presto - fast
Prestissimo - very, very fast.

At the moment, I have on light classical on the Jukebox. Cup of tea nearby, and candle burning on the desk...makes for a peaceful morning here at work. But smooth jazz, and Sinatra, also have a calming influence on me.

I like the modern but slow types at the same time. For example, Breakaway by Kelly Clarkson.
