Common sense I believe is knowledge that comes naturally, or instinctively. In other words you don't have to go to college to know that if you spend more than you earn you will end up a pauper or that if you walk carelessly across the street you might get hit by a car.

Common sense means generally known to any ordinary sane person as related to reasoning.action etc. Example a glass with water if held straight will hold water and if its bent water will flow out of the glass. The knowledge that it so happens is common sense.

Common sense=common knowledge. Something that everyone, regardless of their level of education, should be able to understand or know.

Examples:
Someone walks through water and then is surprised they are wet. If they had any common sense, they would know they were going to get wet.
