Make it more exciting. Perhaps get your colleagues to wear silly hats.

Well, I hate my current job,. I'm an aircraft engineer by trade, (IE actually working on aircraft, fixing them etc) and I'm stuck in a desk job at the moment. It's like watching paint dry. Thing is, my colleagues are great people, and I know I'll get a promotion out of this, so I'll trudge along with it and hopefully get back to the job I love. That's what keeps me going here. I don't think I'll ever like this job though. I'm an outdoors type, not an office type.

First of all, think of the money. At least you have an income; it's not much fun once that goes.
Then, there are the people you work with; is there someone interesting you could get to know better? Some of them must be able to inspire you.
Thirdly, if you're going to do something as your living, do it well. Don't just mope about doing the least you can get away with. Throw yourself into it (but not if you're a fireman) and do it the very best you can. You'll feel more satisfied, and who knows - you might get promoted!
Be friendly, enthusiastic, and professional, and keep your eyes & ears open. You might hear of a better opportunity. Or have you thought about taking more exams at evening class? You might be able to get yourself qualified for something better.

1) Focus on the contribution you are making. Are you helping? Is the product better because of you? Is the client happier? Is the work environment safer/more pleasant?
2) Improve your skills. Read up about your field. Talk to knowledgeable people and ask lots of questions. You will feel better about yourself, and may enjoy your work more.
3) Focus on the positive. I'm sure you can think of a million complaints about your job--but what's good about it? Try writing them down.
The above notwithstanding, be honest with yourself. In the end, you won't be able to turn a sow's ear into a silk purse, no matter how you try.

If it's the JOB you hate, then you should look for another one. If it's the people you hate, then try and ignore them, speaking to them or try and figure out why you don't get on.
Your question is kinds open ended, why is it that you hate it? There are different answers to the varying aspects of why you could hate it.
It's pretty important to like the place that you work cause we spend most of our days there. If you want to like it, you must try and put aside the thing that you hate about it. To do that, you must figure out what it is that you hate.
Good luck.

Try looking at it with different eyes. Try thinking well i dont like this job but its paying the bills and hopefully soon i can find something better. Smile at everyone, however grumpy and rude they are. Try to make your work place look better. If you've got a desk, clear it and put photos and nice things on it. Any working space can be improved with a plant or two. Make plans for lunchtimes or break times so you have something to look forward to. In general, change YOUR attitude and hopefully things will improve. Good luck.

I don't know whether you don't like it because you have only just started or if you haven't liked it for a while. I'm in the same situation, i don't like my job. I only work as i couldn't afford not to, and my home life is more important than any job so if you're that unhappy, maybe you should look for something else.

If you are single or unattached, how about a bit of office romance - always keeps work interesting!!!
If your attached or no-one takes your fancy GET YOURSELF OUTTA THERE!!!!
There are so many jobs out there, so don't settle for something you hate!!
Who knows? you may find a really well paid job and have a laugh earning it at the same time!!!!

Try to learn all the skills of the job completely, then coax yourself to see the benefit it is to others.
