HE IS!!! well i'm a paki so i wud say that,,., but overall i think that both of them are good... but when u look at the stats mohammad yousef comes up as the 4th or 5th best batsmen in the world or somethig... mind the statistics change every month so... over all i think Mohammad yousef is better.... But ponting is not far off

While Mohd. Yousuf has been in great form this year, Ponting is defenitely better than him due to following reasons:

1) Ponting has scored 32 centuries in Test Matches and
20 centuries in One Day Internationals from 106 Tests
and 261 ODI, whereas Mohd. Yousuf has scored only
21 centuries in Test Cricket and 11 centuries in ODI
till now. Out of his 21 centuries in Test Matches 9
centuries have been scored durng this year.

2) Ponting has scored more number of runs as compared
to Mohd. Yousuf in Test and One Day Internationals.

3) Ponting has been most consistent throughout as compard
to Mohd. Yousuf.

Yeah I do agree. Firstly he has made two world records lately, one being the record of the 'most centuries in a year' and the other of 'the most test match runs in a year'

I really believe that Ponting shouldn't have got the Best Test Player award. I mean, he only made 700 runs this year. There is absolutely no comparision between their stats this year!! M. Yousuf really deserved that award.

NO. Ponting has to bat for his team as a captain and that is a big burden to bear and he still bats brilliantly with all that pressure.
Sure Mohammed yousuf is good but Ponting is better.

Very close call but I still have to go with Ricky as the best in the world at present. Just wish he would stop scoring so many against us at least for the next couple of months!

This year he's better than anyone, but over his career no, it's Ponting

RIGHT NOW! who can disagree with it.
atleast recent statistics, n breaking off two world records n equalizing 3rd one,i will go for Muhammad yousuf.
this year he was better than ponting.hope he continues further too.
who doesn't agree to this AT THIS POINT are showing bit bias attitude.
