The Oh God movies with George Burns and John Denver, and Dogma would be good to watch.

Julie Sweeney in " God said Ha!" A dramedy about a womans' struggle with God after her brother has been diagnosed with cancer.
Directed by (believe it or not) Quentin Taratino (whose film Pulp Fiction is, according to Q.T., about selling your soul to the devil)

This kind of odd movie is a parable of Jesus's life - Greasers Palace. Lots of bible and God referances.
It is set in the old west. "This ain't your father's Bible story."
