while buying a laptop for programming or gaming, the laptop should not have Celeron Processor because it has minimal power to process arithematic floating point computations. Then it comes RAM, acording to the latest environment it should be at least 512MB for performence basis, and also next year Window vista will be released and it will require more powerfull computers. Then it comes the sacreen or display unit, it should compatible for graphics programmes as well.

Because of 64 bit Vista, it is not a good idea to invest on laptops at the moment. Specs might change in mid 2007.
