I think so, in some rare cases....the great writers are very versatile, I believe.

i don't think so. a good poet may not necessaryily be a good writer.

But of course. =) Why? because writing is one talent, so to speak, whether its writing poems, stories, novels or anythin else, so when you´ve got that talent, all thats left is for you to decide what you wanna do with it. Hope this helps. =)
