Lebanon, a secular democracy, the center of one of the oldest Coptic and Maronite Christian communities and the second last Christian stronghold in the Middle East, torn by 15 years of civil war, Syrian occupation, political assassinations, and skirmishes between the Israeli Defense Force and Hizballah, is being exploited by an Islamic extremist organization that aims to overthrow the government, set up Shariah law, and use the country's resources to annihilate Israel. This is just like the Janjaweed rising in Sudan, or the Muslim Brotherhood in Egypt, Leskar Jihad and Jamaah Islamiah in Indonesia...God help the Lebanese. They suffer so much.

I am Lebanese and I live in Lebanon and now that aoun and his pack of dogs and hezbollah are in Beirut having their useless demonstration i don't think Lebanon will ever be free. I hope I'm wrong, but I highly doubt that. Senioura is against Aoun and the people who are with aoun and this created a huuuge argument and now there are threats against seniora. And Sleiman Frangieh (a previous member of the parliament) was with aoun and even cursed at the people who were against the demonstration of aoun. if this goes on than there is a huuuge chance that there will be a civil war in Lebanon! (that would make things sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo much worse than they already are) I hope that all those politicians just stop, and for once think about lebanese people and not about themselves.
There is a very little chance that there will be peace in lebanon, but there is always hope, you will see that in every lebanese man or woman, i know I have....

Lebanon is neither secular nor a democracy.
Lebanon is a communitarian tribal country.
God will not help Lebanese unless they help themselves.
"You get the leaders you deserve" so the current situation is very normal and logical knowing the Lebanese.
PS: I am Lebanese myself, and everything that happened in Lebanon was a result of our own acts and behavior.
When we will stop blaming others maybe we can think of a solution...

All of these people can live peacefully together. Nobody wants to rule over each other. But ever since the state of Israel was created, many religious groups went different ways. So each religious group is trying it's best to gain power and run Lebanon it's own way.

i totally agree with "watsername" because my answer would probably be the same, because i live in lebanon too, and this means we know about our country better than anyone, no offence. eventually i think that this is just a phase our lovely country is going through and i really hope there won't be another civil war.

This is the goal of many extremist muslims. That is why countries need to "crack down" on them.
It's sad and hopefully the extremists will all die of food poisoning some how, so Lebanon can be left alone, but I doubt it.

Go after the terror itself, Hezbolla, they want to take u back to the old age and 4uk you up. These guys are fanatics, and they will always say isael is the enemy when they themselves are the terrorists. Kick them out and stop complaining and begging for help and assistance from the worls when they take u to war and mess ur life up. Kick them out, go after nasrala and dump him in a cave, let the rats eat at him.
