So many people complain about all the inconvenience they have to put up with while going through the airport, and I agree, it can be a pain, the lines, going through baggage, removing shoes, jackets etc., and dealing with a lot of VERY rude airport employees...BUT I'll put up with that ANY day if it REALLY helps with security. For everyone who complains all the time about it, they will be the first ones screaming about the LACK of security should another terrorist act occur.

The people that can afford to will have only 1st class service planes with no worries about security screening as this will be done by the company when the passenger books the ticket.

The only security check they undergo is at the parking lot
where they leave their car. Their flights will be separated from
the rest of the people, perhaps a separate airport. Roving bands of security personnel wil drive the perimeter of the airport heavily armed, with rocket-launchers and such, to make sure no unfriendlies make it into the compound.

These people will be able to board with no restrictions, will have huge wide seats, open bar, 1st class meals, etc.

For the rest of humanity that travel coach, these people will not be allowed to take anything on board and be forced to change into airport issued standardized toga-like outfit. This will make the middle eastern people happy as they are half-way there already.

Well now...can we at least take a towel for the seat? I rather like the idea, but I fear a good portion of the traveling society would beg to differ...smiling

Why do people make such a fuss about having to take their shoes off?

It is very unlikely that they would catch anything (you need very damp conditions to catch Athlete's Foot).

Better to have to take your shoes off and be restricted in what you carry than be blown up in mid-air.
