I don't see anything wrong with wearing your lighter blue jeans with a dark denim jacket. It would make a great contrast in fact, even better than matching ones.
Other than that, how about some black jeans/trousers?

I think dark denim looks totally brilliant with an intense deep colour such as royal blue, bold reds or emerald greens. so go for a deep eye-catching top, (failing that a paler top with bold jewelry)with gold accessories and a pair of well fitting black trousers, if its a tailored/ suit style jacket wear it with ballerina style pump shoes/flats to dress it casual or if not fitted then i think a pair of heeled boots would make the whole look casual and yet sophisticated.
Hope this helps

To be honest the contrast would be good so wearing light jeans with a dark jacket is fine, also any light trousers, cream, khaki. Just a little suggestion if your ever short on cash you might try goodwill you can get jeans for about 4.99 just an idea, I am sure you will look fine anyway!

I think the jacket with jeans may be a bit of denim overkill! The jacket will look fine with smart black trousers or skirt or go casual with khaki.

Don't wear a dark jacket with dark jeans: it tends to clash! Go for contrast: light jeans with a dark jacket. It makes both really stand out.

NEVER wear a denim jacket with jeans - you'll look like an 80s throwback! denim jackets can only be worn with things that arent denim

Too much denim of any shade is bad, unless you're a real working cowboy or something! Mix the denim jacket with khakis or cords on the bottom.

Dark denium jackets are so not in - but fortunately dark denim jackets are cool. Might I sugguest your light blue jeans - it will be fine. Generally blokes will look at your bottom and not even notice the jacket. ;-) lol wahahah x

I actually think that you will look better not matching the dark denim jacket with dark pants. Can look too much like your mother dressed you! Khaki's would look great. The jacket is a classic, dress it up or dress it down and have some fun!
