have you heard there not showing it live anymore because people were swearing if so bothered put it on a bit later then 8 the watershed. start it at 9. i am a fan of Big Brother and they ruining my tv entertainment

i dont understand what you mean 5 min delay cos how they be able to cut the swear words out they wont know if they are going to swear or not

I saw this headline on teletext recently but its actually misleading as the final will still be shown live but they will air it five seconds behind so the editor can quickly edit out any swearing, they can delay the signal slightly this happens all the time with digital tv against analogue, I found this out when I had a freeview digital channel on in one room and my dad in the next had switched onto the same channel but on standard analogue, there was a slight delay on the digital making it sound like an echo, don't ask me the technical side of exactly out it works because I don't know but thats whats going to happen for the Big Brother final anyway, I stand to be corrected but I think this process has already been used for other "live" shows in the past, they could just simply put the final on later like you said but a large percentage of the audience are children so they will want them to be able to see it relatively easily as well.

they are only having a 5 minute delay so they can bleep out this years swearing. it will still be on at the same time and day so don't worry about it...
Additional details...
It will be in front of a live audience as normal, it will be recorded but rather than being shown live as they have done previously, they will have a delay so that the crew (whoever makes the show) can cut out the swearing if there is any.

What they are going to do it record it as normal but we will be five minutes behind that recording. The reason being when it is live final Pete swore and the PC Police objected to it strongly so therefor they are changing it so we have a fin min delay so they can cut out any swearing or also in Nikki case when she come out she went strange due to all the boos and it was embarrassing tv.

it will be going out nearly live, just with a 10 or 15 second delay, so they have time to bleep out any swearing
