Nudism is not allowed in the Maldives. In resorts guests can wear swim wear but it's not allowed in Male City or any other local Island. Thongs should not be a problem in resorts.

There are Manny uninhabited Islands in the Maldives.

I happen to be straight male who like to wear thongs. There is nothing wrong with this. It is only clothing. Clothing and jewelry doesn't define who you are.
