My friend prentends to vomit while phoning her male boss - or starts talking 'time of the month.' They might not believe her, but they don't want to stay on the phone either!

Because something like 60% of the time when people call in sick to work they're not really sick, they just want the day off. Also, if you're on salary, you're basically getting paid not to work, and that pisses the management off.

just get someone else to phone pretending to be from the hospital, sayin that you've had an accident or even better that you died, then you can have a few days off and explain that you ween't actually dead it was just a bit of a misunderstanding,
