Buckethead and a million other guys are pretty good. Jason Becker was excellant. Right now my guess is that the fastest is herman li from dragon force, but anybody know of someone out there faster than dragonforce? if you don't know them, get on youtube right now and look up the solo to "through the fire and flames." I'm just board and looking for cool shred vids.

Search for some of Steve Vai's stuff he is faster than dragon force, though they use tricks to speed it up a bit. It's called TV magic ;)

There are plenty of fast guitarists, Yngwie, Vai, etc. but the fastest I have ever seen is Michael Angelo. He played in the group Nitro and he was amazing. I would definitely check him out. He did the guitar parts in the 80's B-horror movie "Shock 'Em Dead."

I have the Operation Ground and Pound (Dragonforce) video, and I can't imagine how that could be real. If he's actually playing that fast without any fancy processor tricks he's incredible!
