No you can't.

When I moved in with my girlfriend she was on AOL with 9 months of her contract left, whilst I was on BT openworld.

I wanted to stay with BT and leave her contract to run down then switch from AOL to BT.

However, they said there can only be one "switch" at the exchange. Their only answer was for me to change to AOL or have another phoneline put in.

You can't have more than one broadband service on a phone line. But you could have multiple dial-up providers.

answer to that question is yes.. I used to have aol and my lodger was paying for broadband. so I put the softwear for that onto my computer and just logged onto aol.. got the best of both worlds and was never cut off at the end of two hours. Smile.. Aol is great for travelling as you can use it anywhere I don't know about bt yahoo broadband though as not tried that.

No.

Now you could get cable which is generally about 10x faster AND have a phone line for your slow DSL or dial up connection.

if you are using dial up you can have any number of internet providers from the same number, if you are using broadband you are limited to one, i don't know any reason you would want more than one broadband provider....
