Honestly i would say that i want to live in Jhb. Sure there is crime, Aids and unlike what some people believe i am not numb to it. I see it everyday. Although i haven't been directly exposed to crime, i know it's happening. But i choose not to become negative about my country because of it. I'd rather do something good to help than go on about how horrible it is. There is so much positive happening but all that people seem to notice is the negative. Just in my group of friends alone, all of them are doing something positive to contribute to the country. Maybe I'm silly to be so optimistic about my country, but after all it is my country.

ME! I love it here & after 25 years of living here, the only crime I've been exposed to is a) having a car nicked (not hijacked) from outside a night club & b) being held up at knife point on the London Underground!
Think on that one.

I have found that, as well as having become numbed to the true state of their abnormal society, South Africans also seem remarkably able to ignore all the statistics and newspaper reports and tell you that crime happens everywhere. Sure it does - but not to the same extent and not with the same violent disregard for human life that it does in the current SA. Also, if it's not happening directly to them, it's apparently not happening!

Being a student there is the best. Besides I've recently heard that Pretoria is now more dangerous than Joburg

i could say that Cape city is definitely the nicest city in South Africa, the municipality is definitely run, it is sparkling, our surroundings is gorgeous, you will desire to assert that that's a international classification city. yet another benefit is that it is the only super city in SA the place you're no longer outnumbered by using black human beings one hundred to a million or extra.

I'd rather not cause it's really dangerous and not only since yesterday! Maybe more quiet places like Stellenbosch/Plettenberg-Bay in the South are much better/more secure but of course not so "exciting".

Me! I do live here. As far as crime is concerned, I'm not worried. i am a reservist and so I deal with the crime all the time, but I love Joburg and it's my home!
