Is this configuration good enough to run high end(latest) games and software? If not, please state any other configuration needed.

The CPU - E6300 (and 6600 or 6700) works best for games with the motherboard 965 (or 975 is even better)
This will cost you Rs 18 - 25K - depending on which make of motherboard u get realtek or asus or intel
Ram is jsut right, you'll need a 2 X 1Mb (another 5K)
get your HDD which works at 7200 rpm and not 5400 (6500)
if you have the money get an LCD screen but 19 inch TFT will cost 16K for Samsung
DVD writers are quite cheap - less than INR 3500
GEForce - go for the 7600 with GDDR3 - its the best you get for gaming (7900 / 7950 will be way too expensive) - 6-7 K
Speakers ok.
