Its because if the family has enough money to make it to the US, the kids are put into tennis camps all the time. School is second to tennis. This is a Russian "tradition". This is a reason the USSR dominated several sports, because that sport was their life. Most Russian tennis players of today are born in Russia, but grow up and train in the US.

It must be that Russian Atmosphere. Russians are very competitive. They are good at ice sports and tennis. Plus they are hot, so thats a bonus.

There is no really good answer for the question. It goes in cycles. The Swedes were great for a long time, then the US dominated and now the Russians. The Aussies had a period of domination also. Federer is from Switzerland and he may be the greatest ever, figure that one out.

because they still use the old commy way of doing things. they pick you out and at 5 years old your trainging very hard to be that. they'll go to school then bam 3 ours of tennis. wake up play tennis before schoooll. russia has done alot for its athletes. they always do well in the olympics. and plus the girls are smoking hot.

maybe because they exercise... its really cold in russia and there for to stay warm they put a LOT of pressure on people to do sports and many people do sports,,, and um.. also its so cold there if they sat in all day they would all become obease... so heck ya... thats why they';re good in tennis :D
