Carroll has said many times he is not interested in returning to the pros unless a team comes to L.A. He didn't see much success in the pros and is one of the greatest college coaches of all time. I dont see him leaving USC anytime soon.

Only if he knows something with USC getting a recruiting ban from the NCAA. So, let's get the rumor straight. A competitor said, "hey, don't go to USC because Pete Carrol is a big fat liar."

Even if he were to come back , why bother with a dump such as Arizona? If I was Pete Carroll , there is no way I would leave a successful program I built like USC to go to a dump like Arizona where winning is about as rare as Haley's Comet...oy

He fits in college football. He's got that "rah rah" persona that didn't really earn him a good reputation in the NFL whereas it works really well with the young men of Troy as opposed to grown men. Also, in college, Pete has said "he has more of life" than in the NFL. Until Pete goes through consecutive losing seasons, I see Carroll having too much fun to leave USC

Why would he leave the Trojan Empire where he's King, especially if SC gets to the BCS title game, and go to the NFL, especially with the pathetic Arizona franchise, considering he did not have much success in the NFL as a head coach and his rah-rah personality is much more suited for college football than pro?

I don't see it...why leave...they treat him like royality, they pay him well and recruiting right now at USC is really easy.

The only reason I see is to get a big pay raise in the NFL...but the average coach lasts less than 5 years...so he would probably get a 5 year deal at 5M per...get fired after 2-3 years and cash out and retire.

i know the cardinals and raiders are going to need coaches soon after this season. but i think its unlikely carroll comes back he did coach the jets and bengals in the nfl but they were horrible. think about leinhart playing for carroll again with the cards? but i think mike martz is going to get the cardinals job.

Pete will stay at USC. He's been an NFL coach before, and I think he loves what he's doing.

No way - hes' got a great thing going. He controlls everything and gets paid more than some NFL coaches.

He's got one of the greatest jobs in the world. He'd be crazy to leave. He's probably landing more co-eds than John David Booty.
