Paris my friend, IS ANYTHING BUT BORING! Your friends probably don't speak any French (Francais), but in Paris, you don't HAVE to speak French to do well. As long as you begin ANY conversation with Bonjour, people will HELP YOU! And, Parisians can be some of the MOST HELPFUL people you will encounter in ALL OF EUROPE.

Forget your less informed "FRIENDS" who don't know how to travel. Every time I go to Paris, there is SO MUCH TO SEE, and NOT ENOUGH TIME TO SEE IT ALL!

Plan to make a list of what you want to see; Museums (some of the best in the WORLD), Sites (the Eiffel Tower is just ONE AMAZING PLACE), Shopping (Michael Jordan flew to Paris once he became a Professional Basketball Player and promptly dropped 8,000 USD in a day getting some clothing). You can find clothing, dining (also some of the BEST in THE WORLD), sites and sounds in Paris. All with a French Flair!

Oh, and one more thing, it is one of the MOST ROMANTIC cities in the WORLD as well...You cannot miss Paris! Your friends who thought this place was boring did NOT know what they were doing. Please FORGIVE THEM, and go anyway! There is so much to see and experience there. Just ask Lance Armstrong, he who won the Tour de France 7 times, the greatest cycling race in the World! Many frenchman did NOT even like Lance (because he won so many times on their home territory), but Lance loves the place too!

Yes, been there once about 4yrs ago. Its a really beautiful city but you've got to be careful where you put your feet, there are lots of dog droppings everywhere!! Remember, even Carrie stepped on it in Sex & The city. With the Da Vinci Code still hot from the oven, why dont you visit the Louvre Museum if you can find the time :-)

Have fun..

Boring??? You're friends must have 0 appreciation for history or culture. Read a little about the city, its history, its culture, there must be something there that interests you. Two days isn't really much time, but I would go to Versailles or the Louvre one day, then spend the other walking around.

It's beautiful and not boring. There's so much to see, you need at least a week to go a few places. You will see one thing if you're lucky in two days. Excellent transport system but its a huge city.

Depends on what you consider entertainment. i have been many times at from 17yrs old to 36 and always found great things to do and see. The French particularly Parisian people can be a bit snotty. If you want a warm welcome and fun people try Italy...having a good life is the number 1 priority here.

I love Paris!! I've been a few tims and there is so much to do - could not be described as boring!! and it's not necessarily as expensive as you'd expect if you look in the right places!!

It's nice not as romantic as I would have thought theres 'lucky lucky men' absolutely everywhere trying to sell you things. It is a beautiful city though and I'm sure if you went of the beaten track a little it would be fantastic, a little expensive though

I went on a school trip years ago. It was all based around art. So if you are interested in Art and sightseeing then its lovely. I wouldn't mind going back there again now that I'm a bit older and might appreciate all that is there. I hear its very expensive.

Lovely city, trifle anal at times but worse of all it's full of Parisien's lol. I think you should go though and see for yourself. Least you can say you've been to Paris. Don't let anyone's opinion you sway you either way.
