Is it true that the government gives you a certain amount of land if you live there for a certain amount of years?

Years ago the answer was yes. However, AK no longer has the Homesteading Program. If you want land...buy it with money.

Not anymore, no. The program used to be for Native Alaskans. You can't just move there and get free land now.
