No this has me very confused. I live in Blyth near Newcastle and we have been calling that group of people Charver for years and years and then all of a sudden Chav came along. Does anyone know if charvers originated in the northeast and due to there emensly quick breeding manaed to populate the rest of the county very quickly or did chavs originate by themselves.

Chav is a derivative from romany talk. Chiavala - Lad. A lot of gypsy talk and the spellings do change from region to region.

In Edinburgh Chavvy has been used as a kind of half derogatory term to describe some-one for years. Kind of like geezer. If you've watched the Football Factory when Harris calls Zebedee and his mates a bunch of Chavvies, that's how it was used in Edinburgh. Chav is an English word, they are called Neds in Glasgow only and in Edinburgh they used to be called Schemies, which only really referred to girls, as they were from Council Schemes.

I dont think of that Damien is trashy in any respect. I do form of see the place they're coming from with Luna and Niall on account that those have become increasingly extra common in the decrease classification families, yet they're nonetheless no longer trashy. although, Robyn, Brooklynn *somewhat spelled this way* and Reagan are fantastically trashy renowned. Why no longer Damien James rather of Damien Jack or Damien Jay, nonetheless I do like the two the names you published.
