It protects your eyes from particles and sometimes other objects from getting into your eye. It is also used for flirting and teasing! :)

Not sure...but I think eye lashes serve the purpose of acting as protective barrier of keeping dust, etc. particles from landing on the delicate surface of eye.

Our eyes need lashes. It'd be best not to cut them.

Eyelashes provide natural protection from sunshine, wind and foriegn bodies and function same as whiskers in cats or any other animal. they are sensitive towards foriegn objects and show a reflexive action when any insect is nearby.
